Big SocialGlow Updates: New Features You’ll Love + What’s Coming Soon

Daniel here, founder of SocialGlow, and I’m excited to share some of the awesome new things we’ve been working on to make your events and community management even easier.

📅 A New Home for Your Events

We’ve separated Events into their own column so you can manage them faster and see everything at a glance. Whether you’re running a church, course, or community group, now you can scroll through your full event list without getting lost in other content.

🔁 Recurring Events Are Finally Here

This one’s a huge time-saver.

Before, if you wanted to run the same event each week (like Sunday Worship or a weekly coaching call), you had to duplicate it manually. Now you can simply set an event to repeat, daily, weekly, monthly, you name it, and SocialGlow will do the work for you.

No more Sunday-night scrambling. Your recurring schedule is on autopilot.

🔔 Smarter Notifications

We’ve added an “Enable Notifications” checkbox when creating an event. Turn it on, and by default, your group members will get email and push notifications so no one misses out.

Coming soon: Members will be able to easily toggle notifications on or off for specific events, perfect if they want reminders for Bible Study but not for every fellowship lunch.

🗓 Better Calendar View

Events aren’t just in a list, now your members can switch to a Calendar View to see everything laid out beautifully. Hover over any event to see details, including recurrence patterns, so everyone stays on the same page.

🔮 What’s Next: Built-in Video Meetings

We’re already prototyping a new feature that lets you host live online meetings directly in SocialGlow, think Zoom-style video calls, but without needing a separate subscription. You’ll be able to create a meeting link right from your event setup, making your events more seamless than ever.

💡 Your Feedback Drives SocialGlow
